My research deals with welfare politics and gender and family relations. At present, I run the research project The Politics of Parenting Support. The project analyses the historical development of parenting support in Sweden and how it affects current family and gender equality ideals and ambitions. Related to this research project, I have recently published Parenting and parenting support in Germany and Sweden: Convergence and persistent dissimilarities (Journal of Family Research, 2017 with Ilona Ostner); Transforming Gender and Family Relations. How Active Labour Market Policy Shaped the Dual Earner Model (Edward Elgar, 2017); and Parenting Support in Sweden: New Policies in Old Settings (Social Policy and Society, 2015).
