Article 30: Cultural, Religious, and Linguistic Rights of Minority or Indigenous Children

Article 30 of the Convention confers the right of the child who belongs to a minority or indigenous community or group to claim, enjoy, and practice their language, culture, and religion. Integral concepts that must be considered are protection for, measures to support and enable retention of, and the ability of the child to choose, have, adopt, and learn their culture, religion, and language (Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and Rädda barnen (Society: Sweden), 2007, pp. 675–682).
