About
I am a qualified children and families social worker with nearly 30 years post qualification experience. I have worked in the statutory sector and also the not for profit sector – including managing a family support programme for 8 years.
I spent six years working in Universities as a senior lecturer and then as head of department. My areas of teaching included family support, youth justice and the history of childhood.
I am involved in helping the city of Leeds (UK) become a child friendly city and am committed to ensuring that the voice of the child and young person is both heard and also that their voice has influence in decision making in the city
