Our colleague Branko Boskovic has participated in the COST CONNECT event entitled: Ageing in Europe: challenges and opportunities - Connecting disciplines across Europe and beyond for a more healthy future.
The event was organised by COST with the aim to bring together different COST actions which cover ageing and its different aspects. Ageing is a process which involves many opportunities and challenges and the aim of the event was to see how research can contribute in solving issues and offering solutions. It was a two day event which was based on two principles. First, presenting participating COST actions and second, discussing different issues related to ageing. Representatives of relevant stakeholders were also present and active in the discussion, leading to the background for policy recommendations. The major fields of research were medicine and psychology but political and social aspects were also involved. EurofamNet was presented on the second day and participated in a discussion on the roles of family support in ageing and how professionals can contribute in this process.
