Content analysis on professional skills in family support work based on international organizations’ webpage resources

Presented study aims to identify relevant professional organizations on International, European or regional level working with families and children to overview of listed professional skills promoted by the organizations on their work on family support to describe and catalogue available evidence on basic professional competencies of family support workforces to find appropriate documents regarding standards for family support skills Results & discussion.

An important component in the content analysis was the identification and overview of listed professional skills promoted by the organizations on their work on family support, more than 1/3 of the evaluated web resources of organizations in the field included in the analyses do not present an available plain definition of competency/skills framework listed in general or in a separate document; at one of the four organizations (1/4) on the site some competencies can be delimited, usually presented partially and in an indirect way; most organizations present on their webpage limited description of skills or references to a standard frame, rarely, some information being limited to the job description; very rarely was possible to identify some job descriptions that clearly indicated the attributions, the skills needed in the support activity with families with children.
