Summary

Target group: Mothers and fathers interested in preventing risk behaviour and promoting positive parenting.

Method of implementation: The programme is carried out in those communities or municipalities with which there is an agreement or which are subsidised, so that participation in the programme is free for families. The digital dissemination is made to the AMPAS of the schools, as it is the easiest way to find groups of mothers and fathers interested in participating. But if any other entity (association, town hall, neighbourhood group, ...) is interested in the programme, it can also participate. The number of participants varies between a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 25, with an average participation of 15 people. The person, school or group of people organising the course chooses the days and times when the sessions will take place. These are held on a weekly basis and are given by a trainer with experience in working with families.

Expected results: the programme aims to make participants reflect on the importance of their role in the education and prevention of their children. It is expected that the participating families will have learned useful things to improve as parents, improved their family relations, and changed their opinion about their ability to respond adequately in matters related to the education of their children.
